CHRISTOPHOROS KATSADIOTIS
24 Nov, 1971
Christophoros Katsadiotis was born in Athens in 1971. He worked for fifteen years as a journalist in television, radio, and print media before dedicating himself fully to the visual arts. He graduated with honors from the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2009–2014) and pursued printmaking studies through the Erasmus program at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław.
His prints have been used by publishing houses in Greece and France, as well as by theatrical organizations in Paris. In 2025, he became the focus of public debate when works presented in the exhibition The Allure of the Bizarre at the National Gallery – Alexandros Soutsos Museum were vandalized by a member of parliament from a far-right political party. In the same year, he was attacked by members of religious and far-right organizations in Thessaloniki during a conference of visual arts educators in which he participated as a speaker.
In 2026, he presented the shadow theatre work Karagiozis at the National Gallery and the Ghosts of Other Times at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, while the biographical documentary The Engraver, produced by Sissy Morfi, was screened at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. In the same year, he participates as the main invited artist in the exhibition Transformation of Thought at the Kai Dikhas Art Institute.
Since 2014, he has contributed articles to the Greek press on the visual arts scene in Paris. He is a member of the Association of Greek Printmakers, the Taylor Foundation, and the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece. He lives and works between Paris and Athens.
